A FUN, FREE FAMILY EVENT

The Festa Italiana – SSF 2024 will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 11 am to 6 pm at South San Francisco’s Orange Memorial Park. Last year’s inaugural event was a great success because of the generous sponsors, fellow Italian organizations, vendors, car show participants and bocce players who stepped up and made it possible to share our Italian history and culture with the rest of the community. Last year’s event brought in more than 2000 visitors, and we encourage you to join us in becoming Italian for the day.

Festa Italiana – SSF will again feature entertainment performances, cultural displays, vendors, a car show, a Kid’s Zone and a premiere bocce tournament. Visitors can sip Tuscan wines, enjoy a refreshing Italian beer, and “manga” Italian cuisine while strolling amongst exotic Italian cars and vehicles from yesteryear.

The Festa is a free, fun family event with a special focus on the Kid’s Zone where youngsters can enjoy face painting, pasta making, story reading, a salami toss and much more. They can also participate in the Youth Soccer Goal Challenge.

Specific sponsorships are available for the Kid’s Zone, the Car Display, the Bocce Tournament, and other areas. Join us in bringing this fantastic event to life.

Our sponsors not only help support our festival but the community of South San Francisco as well. Sponsors enjoy full exposure online, in print and at the event! This is an amazing opportunity to get exposure to a diverse cultural audience.

South San Francisco has a rich Italian history, and the city has evolved from “The Industrial City” to a biotech hub while not shedding its original identity. It has become a diverse make-up of cultural communities that love to share their history. This will be the second Festa Italiana for South San Francisco and the only such event on the peninsula.

The South San Francisco Festa is a collaboration between the City of South San Francisco, the Italian American Citizens Club of SSF, and the California Law Enforcement Columbia Association, a 501(c)(3) public charity, with contributions from several brother and sister Italian organizations. Funding goes directly to the production of the Festa and youth activities. Sponsorships are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

It is an opportunity to showcase, celebrate and share the rich Italian history and culture of the peninsula. Come join us on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

Welcome to the California Law Enforcement Columbia Association. You can apply to join the Association via six entry level categories. The donation for the categories of Italian Law Enforcement Sworn, Non-Sworn, Public Safety, Affiliated and Associate Memberships are $50 annually while Student Membership at $20. There is an Initiation Fee of $10. Download your Membership Application from this section of the website and mail a completed application and check made out to “the California Columbia Association” for $60 ($30 for Students) to the address noted on the application. If for some reason your application is not accepted, your check will be returned to you. Please note that all membership rolls and lists will be kept confidential due to the nature of our profession and will NOT be shared with any other association or entity. The Association is a Public Charity and falls under IRS Section 501(c)3 with ID Number 90-0761845. All donations are tax deductible.
